I saw the new LION KING MOVIE!

Thanks, Disney, for inviting me to view the premiere of the Lion King. I am still pinching myself. Below is my honest review of The Lion King live-action film.

Disney did a phenomenal job. The Lion King live-action film aligned perfectly with the original movie storyline. The iconic scenes were present as well as some new funny moments. The animation was excellent; the characters voices matched the animals perfectly. I felt like I was on Pride Rock and at the Elephant Grave Yard and I did not watch this in 3D! The animation and graphics are that good! Each roar sounded authentic and they did not miss any details on the animals.

The MUSIC! Talk about a talented group of singers. Their voices sync together perfectly. Every song made me cry but to hear “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “The Circle of Life” played with real animals was breathtaking.

What is a Disney Movie without a princess and love? Well, in this case, a king and queen! The magical romance between Nyla and Simba reminded me of how I imagined I would fall in love. If you are looking forward to this, you won’t be disappointed. Their love is just as magical as it was in the original film. Tearjerker for sure.

The Lion King original film was my favorite Disney Movie and now the live-action film is my favorite. It is so many things I want to talk about but I want you to experience the same emotions I felt. Please leave me a comment on what scene you are looking forward too and we will discuss it together once it releases in theaters.

I hate to say this but I sort of want to see the iconic Mufasa scene. It’s so bittersweet: I hate to watch it and I know I will cry but I’m interested to see the actors portray that scene and basically the performance of it all. I LOVED Timon and Pumba as a kid and can’t wait to see them in this version. All of it! I can’t wait!

      Sara,

That is a great scene. When I knew the scene was approaching; I was anxious, I cried, and I laughed. You are going to love it. Did you see the cast line up? AMAZING!
