Playtime Ideas while Social Distancing featuring Pottery Barn Kids

Hey Guys, I wanted to share with you fun ways you can make playtime fun while we are practicing social distancing. Playtime with my kids is important to me and I love that I can share with you my favorite toys from Pottery Barn Kids. Some of the toys are gifted but all opinions are my own.

One thing that I love about playtime is seeing my kids using their imagination and our dollhouse and vanity have been a crucial part of playtime. This space is really where we spend the majority of our day. The girls love to do each other’s hair and sing in the vanity mirror. The Madeline Play Vanity also has 4 storage cubbies that wee to store stuff. Right now we have eggs but Rosie’s Abigail Jeweryl box fits perfectly in one of the cubbies. While social distancing I added a dress-up station to make this time extra special. I want to encourage you guys to create a dress-up station for storytime. You can use old dresses, and suits if you have a little guy! I actually unpacked old Pottery Barn Kids Halloween costumes and my kids love to walk around in their costumes. The kids love to play dress-up during storytime and put on a play before bed.

After school work is done, Ella loves to dive right into a craft.  She had the idea to remodel her dollhouse. This dollhouse is a girl’s dream come true. I love how tall it is and I really feel like I am apart of playtime when we play together. Right now we are in the process of creating curtains and carpet, but can we talk about how cute the chair and table covers are? If you love that, I know you would love the pillow and bedspread Ella and I made. Playing and remodeling this dollhouse is going to take time but we have a lot of time on our hands. QUARATINELIFE 🙂 You can find the perfect dollhouse for your little one here.

Another favorite toy in my house is Rosie’s Retro Play Kitchen. All of my favorite family memories are made at playtime and seeing Rosie pretend to be a chef is priceless. While practicing social distancing I added a fun table in between the fridge and stove to give Rosie a workspace to cook. I actually love this set up more, it looks like a real kitchen island and Rosie loves to have a counter to crack her eggs and use her mixer.

I hope that you enjoyed my playspace and I hope that inspired you to get creative with playtime while social distancing. What Idea did you like best? Do you have any cute suggestions for our dollhouse? Let me know.

real life, always.

xoxo
