May the 4th be with you

I am a huge Disney Fan so it is no way I could not consider MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU a holiday. My love for Star Wars started during college while interning for BCBG Max Azria. In New York City I saw a huge billboard for the release of Clone Wars in Time Square. I was fascinated with Yoda and the design of the animated billboard. I pulled out my iPhone (yup the first version guys) to Google it. That is it, I was hooked.

Instead of wearing my Star Wars gear and watching old episodes (because the classics are the best) I decided to celebrate with my crew. My son loves Star Wars (merchandise, for now. He is only 3) so I knew he would love it. I am pretty sure Lilly Rose had a blast too. That smile says it all.

Rosie, you are killing me smalls. I can not deal with her cuteness. This little girl had no problem with this session. She was ready for some fun. Her shirt and lightsaber are from Target. She is wearing our favorite Poppy cloth diaper from Thirsties.

It is no denying that I have a Pottery Barn Kids addiction so the props in this session were easy. We used Jax’s sleeping bag, jammies, and our backpacks. Yes, Mama has one too. I could not resist matching my crew. Our Star Wars ears are from the Star Wars store in Disney Springs. It is safe to say my bestie had to take my wallet in the store. I was grabbing all the things.

Unffortnley, Jax’s version of the sleeping bag is no longer available but I am in love with their new designs. If you are in love with his sleeping bag and jammies they still have the matching duvet set available. Please don’t buy them all, they are on our wish list.

By the end of our session, my little Stormtrooper was tired. While he rested I took some mommy and me pictures with Lilly Rose. I have to be honest; I wanted to change into another outfit and get some “girly shots” of us. How dare I? I love Star Wars and capturing this moment with her is priceless. Besides, it is only MAY THE FOURTH one day out of the year. We have 364 days for girly pictures.

How perfect are our shirts? I tied Rosie shirt up in the back because it is a boy’s small. Mama, makes it work. The boy Disney section in Target is awesome. I love the colors in our shirts and my bracelets. I splurged and purchased my Disney Alex and Ani bracelets for Christmas. Fun Fact: you can only buy Disney Alex and Ani in Disney. I am wearing three bracelets and one of them is STAR WARS. It says “I Love You. I Know”. This one reminds me of bedtime with my crew. Every night I kiss them on each cheek and whisper I love you.

Mom: I love You.

Kid: I love you too, mom. All the way to the moon and back.

Mom: I know Kiddo.

The Pre K size Pottery Barn Kids backpack is so cute on Rosie. It is the perfect size backpack for 1 and 2-year-olds. She has her toy, blanket, diapers, and wipes in hers and she can walk in it with ease. Leave me a comment if you would like a full review of their backpacks.

We had a ball taking pictures and I am so happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and got in the frame. I would love to know if you are a Star Wars Fan or Disney Lover. I can’t wait to chat with you.

Real Life, Always. XO
