Ring Pop Halloween Craft

Thank you Ring Pop® for sponsoring this post. Read below for step-by-step instructions to create this fun Ring Pop Party Starter activity!

Halloween is here and this year we are throwing a safe at-home party with a small group of friends and family and I have the perfect craft for my kids to do. As a kid, I remember asking my mom for a Ring Pop, and having the opportunity to recreate the same memories with my kids is priceless.

At our Halloween party, we created Halloween characters using the iconic Ring Pop Lollipops to our craft for extra magic. Today I am going to show you how to make a Bat, Spider, Jack-O-Lantern, and a Ghost using Ring Pop Lollipops and a Halloween Garland kit I purchased from Target. Today you will need the following materials:

Tissue Paper

  • Black
  • White
  • Orange

Pipe Cleaners

  • Black
  • Orange
  • Green

Black  Paper

Scissors

Glue

Googly Eyes

White Yarn

To make a Ring Pop Spider, cut 7 pieces of black pipe cleaners (1 for the body and 6 for the legs). Take 1 piece of the pipe cleaner and wrap it into a circle. Then, add 3 pieces of the black pipe cleaners on one side of the circle and the other 3 to the opposite side.

Then insert the body of the spider into the Ring Pop gem and glue googly eyes onto the base of the Ring Pop lollipop.

To make a Ring Pop Bat, first cut out the shape of the bat using black paper. You can also use the bat cut out in your Halloween garland kit. If you don’t have one, you can print out a bat template and cut it out in the black paper. Now fold your bat in half and cut a hole in the middle of the bat. Gently slide your bat on the Ring Pop Candy. The bat should lay on top of the ring. Now add your eyes and your bat is complete.

For the Ring Pop Ghost, Cover your Ring Pop with white tissue paper. This time, just cover the candy and not the plastic ring. If you have a Halloween garland kit with a tassel ghost, use the one that is in the kit.

To make a ghost, you are going to need white string/yarn and scissors. After you make your white tassel, gently open the top part and slide the Ring Pop in. Go back and cover the ring pop with the string until the Ring Pop candy is completely covered.

Now add back circles for the eyes and mouth. Now you can wear your Ring Pop Ghost.

For your Ring Pop Jack-O-Lantern, cover just the Ring Pop Lollipop with orange tissue paper. Wrap a green pipe cleaner around the candy only. Now draw on a face or use black stickers, all done.

I hope you enjoyed this fun Ring Pop party activity. Do you remember your first Ring Pop? What fun characters will you create?
